International Women's Day was celebrated with 41 young people in Hitnala village of Koppal district. Out of which five boys and 36 girls are all students of degree, nursing and diploma. Senior member of Manjula APD organization and Taluk resource person of Lakshimi Devi participated as chief guests in this program. After the welcome, prayer, factual talk and inauguration of the program, Ms.Manjula as the chief guest spoke on the subject of youth education and current challenges faced and social media and competitive approaches. As the second chief guest, ShriLakshmidevi spoke about the laws for women in the Indian Constitution and the role of women in education, politics, family and society. Then students Ravi and Kaveri shared their impression that the program went very well and the program ended with felicitations.

International Women's Day was celebrated with the women of the community in Shivabasavanagar, Belgaum Taluk. After welcoming the guests by singing a song on the occasion of International Women's Day, the event was inaugurated by VijayaRamanna and Jayashree, president of Bhimavada, Karnataka Dalit SangharshSamiti who arrived as guests. About 25 to 30 women from the community participated in this program. Speaking at the event, VijayaRamanna conveyed the greetings of the International Women's Day to everyone and said that women are developing in all fields and should use the available opportunities to come forward in all areas. Another guest, Jaiyashree, speaking in Ambedkar's biography, said that Rambai made Ambedkar a great person through sacrifices and achievements like his wife Rambai. She said that we as women should take advantage of our requirements and rights and get a good education and come forward and be a role model for the family in the society.

Nearly 40 women’s participated from various women’s groups.The guest of honour was Smt.Kaveri ,Sunanda NGO FCC Coromandel were present along with the office Director Rev. Sis Anthonyammal. Before starting the programme one minute silent prayer was observed due to the death of Mr. Susai Raj Babu Coordinator of DRC-kolar.Rev.SisAnthonyammal encouraged the women’s groups to start income generating programme in the area and she promised to support through their society. The International Women's Day program was meaningfully celebrated by DRC Hassan, Manasa in B.Vedike Hall. A total of 36 women and men participated in this program including leaders of various organizations. 1. A session on Child Protection Policy was held by Ms. Nagamani, program coordinator for Child Rights Trust (CRT). The members of MANASA - SICHREM were briefed on POCSO violations, and what falls under these violations. Members were also trained on what to do if they encountered a child who had been violated under the POCSO act guidelines, and what would be the right steps to take to lodge a complaint under the POCSO act.
Ms. Margaret Sampath, District Coordinator. She appreciated all the participants for their willingness to participant in this training program and making time for the same. She furthermore appreciated each one of them for wanting to become financially independent utilizing their skills and talents. The Covid 19 pandemic has continued its spread in India, during the spread of Covid 19 and the lockdown, many people have lost their jobs and suffering for the basic necessities like food and ration for survival in the vulnerable community. Many people became socially and financially backward community, in this majority of them are working as daily wage laborers.
